Default 850 2.5 1995. Lamda light on

Hi folks. I got a new stainless steel exhaust fitted to my 850
including a new sports cat. Ever since the lamda light is on. I've tried to delete the code but no joy. The company that fitted the exhaust said they had no hassle removing the sensor or re-fitting it. Also said it looked in good condition. Any help would be appreciated as it's mot day on Monday.

From what I've read it seems like sports cat will do this on some cars. You can space the sensor away from the boss to take it out of the exhaust flow. Must have some impact when it is running closed loop though.
