Engine: TDI: - Hose punches

Hy Dudes,

Recently, I've noticed that the big hose which goes in the radiator punches from inside of the radiator, where it plugs in.

How can I fix this stuff ?

I think you're referring to the top boost hose from your intercooler to the hard 90° bend.

Don't understand what you mean by "Punches" though?

Hy DoÏn,

I mean that when the engine is on this hose suddens (shaking) engine vibrations and go for rear to front and punches in the radiator.

I suggest this is an engine mount issue, look at the lower gearbox torque mount and the top engine steady mount. Can you move the engine back and forth by hand?

They're quite a shakey engine anyway, but worn mounts would make it 100x worse

Or, take the top cover off the engine.
Complete waste of time and just gets in the way.

Da ya mean that the elastics of my engine underpants dropped ?

I don't know why, but I'm sure you're right... But I 've recently change the two ones on the upper of the engine (bay side).

When I had to finish my love story with my last 850 GLT estate, I took back mounts which were brand news. But as far as I know petrol ones aren't strong enough for a Diesel engine...

So there is a dilemma : keep the money for my honey moon, or change mounts ?

Change mounts. Definitely !

High Dudes

I've just had a look to my bill made in 2014 ; the engine mounts front and rear ones were LEMFÖRDER. Already out ? normal ? The one under the gearbox hasn't been changed at this time.

Shall I replace the three ones or just the gearbox one ?
