Start Stop...

Following the recent engine repairs being completed approx six weeks ago, the start stop operated correctly for a few hours after leaving the dealership.

It hasn't operated again since.

Still reporting battery is charging or has low temp.

I have been for quite a few good runs.

Maybe new battery time.

Mines the same... stop/start hardly ever works (although it did yesterday!). However my car spends several days on end not in use, which does seem to drain the battery.

A battery should give a service life of over 5 years, especially as these are improved technology types (EFB for manual and AGM for auto), but it seems the slightest deterioration in charge capacity affects the stop/start.

I've decided to replace mine when the stop/start never works, although I did recently buy a suitable charger to give it some additional nursing over winter, if required.
