Don't dealers just use all sorts of invented words to make their sale look more desirable. I don't think it has any meaning here. All front seats are capable of change as they are adjustable. Some are electrically operated and some are manually operated but they all change position and move and that would make them all dynamic!

I think the electric seats have more movement options. My manual seat base only moves forward/back + up/down. My electric seat has the ability to go up/down on both the front and rear edge of the base.

I have not heard of seats being called dynamic before.

Cheers
Bob

The spec on this car is:

Col: 45200 BLACK SAPPHIRE
Uph: E10200 LEATHER/ANTHR/SOFTBEI/NV

Option
000011 HEATED FRONT SEATS
000030 SUNROOF
000057 ADJUSTABLE PASSENGER SEAT
000165 TEMPORARY SPARE WHEEL

At the time this car was build (model year 2011) there was an option for "Leather-faced Upholstery with Dynamic Front Seats" - however, this car doesn't seem to have them (would have been a £150 upgrade option and the trim code would have refereed to Dynamic Seats - Also, they look like the standard ones on the images to me as the Dynamic ones have a more "winged" side bolster to them than the images would suggest.

Relevant Spec guide is attached.

Hope this helps.

thanks for the replies, its all become moot as the seller wont send me any information to enable me to verify the service history of the car without me travelling to his place of business, being in west yorkshire and the car in essex its a bit onerous for me.

If it helps, the Volvo Service history is

31/10/11 @ 10513
15/10/10 @ 21647
17/10/13 @ 26203
28/10/14 @ 37522
27/10/15 @ 44187
27/10/16 @ 49709
24/10/17 @ 54691

Can't see its been done since then at a Volvo dealer, so missing 2018 and 2019 ....

You'd be easier to sell to and it would be harder to walk away if you travelled to Dunmow to see the car.

A good service history is always a strong selling point and it's something to be shared with enthusiasm. If the dealer won't share the service history then there's something wrong.

Has he not got the service record with the dealer stamps? Or was the last service in 2017, perhaps?

You need to know about what happened in 2018 and 2019, and you need to know that he has the stamped service record.

If he won't share this information then he's probably hiding something and it would be best to tell him to truck off.

i never trust the stamp, you can get a stamp for a minor service when a major is due and they are easily made from ebay, i like invoices and printouts. It would appear that its been to the dealers regularly for work, but is due an oil swap on time alone, maybe a cambelt on years too.
