We were out in the car the other day, sat nav on, travelling the route to the destination we'd set. We decided to deviate off route. It tried to get us back on the route, but we simply carried on towards where we wanted to now go to without having added a way point, it wasn't that far. Suddenly the sat nav display put up a message saying 'alarm' and the car radio switched on!
We couldn't stop the radio. We arrived at the destination and turned the ignition off. After our stop, we switched the sat nav back on and resume our original route before deviating. All appeared normal. Radio worked fine. I've deviated before and its always re calculated but has never shown an 'alarm' message on the sat nav screen. Has anyone else experienced this? |

this could also be caused by someone transmitting illegally in a local area . it is to do with the radio rather than navigation .
