Scotland: May 2010 Scottish Section Meeting

After Kev240 did such a great job at organising all the previous meetings, I didn’t want to see the Scottish section dying out again. So after speaking to RoscoMac and Kev240 (for advice), I have decided to organise and take responsibility for this meeting. I hope no-one thinks I am stepping on anyone’s toes, or that I am muscling in on anyone’s role, I just wanted to do my little bit for the club.

The May meeting of the Scottish Section has been planned for Sunday 30th May at 13:30 at Arbroath Seafront, Victoria Park, Kings Drive Arbroath DD11 1DA (right along at the far end).

At this venue there is beautiful cliff-top walk for any spouses/partners/kids/pets that don’t want to stand about talking Volvo, also there’s plenty of grass for kids to play on so it is family-friendly. There is usually a snack van selling ice-cream, burgers, drinks, etc, but just in case there isn’t there’s nothing wrong with bringing a few sandwiches and a flask. It also gives you the opportunity to pick up some real authentic Arbroath Smokies!

I hope everyone can attend (even though it is a holiday weekend), and that you will support me and my small effort to keep the Scottish flag flying! Who knows, if it all goes well, I might take steps to make it more official.

Hope you have a successful day, and you get a good turn out, apologies for not appearing at your 'first' event, but as explained earlier that is the day that I return from my holidays, and I will be driving up from Harwich.
