Just a remap. Immediate improvement.
Also, Im lucky enough I can apply stock map any time I want (vida+dice) and few months ago did just that to test few things and oh man, I forgot how dull T5 can be when on stock mapping.
And yep, circa 400gbp seem like a budget, although it depends on tuner. I paid 420e for mine (Hilton tune) but never tested it on dyno. Its more likely remote tune (flash->do test run with recording parameters-> send back to revisit->get newer version->repeat until best possible result is found).

Thanks Lizard, good info!

Actually, to come back to OP's original question (after 5 pages of non related talking ) - I dug out my footwell bulb yesterday and wanted to ask someone - is that a standard 5W capless bulb inside that suppose to pop out from the socket or its a integrated Volvo-only part? Tried to take bulb out using various techniques but gave up after 10 mins afraid I will ultimately crush it. It still works so didnt want to damage it, more a curiosity issue.
anyone?

That's exactly what it is, mine was also quite stuck, turned out that the metal contacts around the bottom of the push fit bulb had been squidged (technical word) making it tight...

I also worried that it would break, but eventually it came out.

I used some LED ebay replacements that give a white light. Quite nice for the footwells and interior lights.

ah ok, so its just a standard bulb awkwardly fitted to standard connector?
what did you use to take it out, I tried long nose pliers with duct tape, some chirurgical scissors and other stuff - no avail :/

Exactly what mine was, standard bulb badly fitted.

I used long nosed pliers with some insulation tape on the metal grips, but levered it upward using the plastic base as leverage point. It was very tight but eventually moved a tiny amount on each application of pressure.

thanks. Once I know its suppose to come out, I will try harder. Was thinking of using a thin strip of rubber to make it grip better with pliers. Not sure if I need/want LEDs there but I just want to know its doable.
