No! the DPF (touch wood) has been fine, I do a few 20 mile motorway drives a week! I have been reading all the tuning box/remap debate threads here, audi owners, vectra owners etc for the last 8 years since i first got an S60 D5, and to be honest i have found more complaints about remap damage (still not a lot) than decent boxes, Yes there are hundreds saying a box is crap and its just an expensive resistor ETC but these are usually people that have a map and nothing better to add, personally I have had a box on my Old S60 (Kingquick) and on my audi A6 (DTUK) and over 60K they have never caused a single issue (clutch slip on the Audi after 30K but that was a tolal of 130k on the clutch) but gave a big smile when driving. The Bluespark has Rev sence (?) and boost control and does get good reviews. But unfortunatly I can see the argument about a remap been better, and that is the thing stopping me at the moment, but the fact the ecu needs to be opened is stopping me doing the remap (its a 2008) catch 22.

having had tuning boxes, remaps on most off the cars i have owned it is fair to say that the remap is the better option.i would be a bit uneasy about the Ecu being split open and remapped when it is acceptable to have it done via the obd port. With Mte you actually do it yourself with a softloader.Damage to the car not had any as yet with all the remaps i have had.my take on this is if you can only afford a Box then a Box it is, if you can conjure up a bit more funds then a remap is the way forward via the OBD port

Can I buy from anyone just the [MTE] software? I have the ipd interface and the 'MTE Vehicle Identification' software. I just need the embedded software bundle that ipd/MTE send back to the customer allowing him/her to write the tuned software to his/her ECU.

This is it:-
"You unzip the tuned file that you received back from ipd/MTE and run the setup folder and you will get the MTE Softloader icon on your desktop, the files themselves will be in C:\Program Files\MTE\MTE Soft-Loader."

I just want the contents of the setup folder!
