Your car does not have the navigation software activated because the original purchaser did not specify it. The Nav button on the dash and all of the other associated hardware will however be fitted to the car. You will need to find out from your local dealer what the charge is for activating the Nav system. If the organisation/individual you bought the car from claimed that it had satellite navigation you have been misled.

ive been on the phone to pce in northamptom ( the person who dose the vin reg checks give me there number) and they are quoting me £25 for the update weather its with them 3 hours or 25 min. whitch i think not bad at all. even if i have drive 200 mile there and back with a cost of £80 for fuel still £600 odd saving.

what my loca volvo dealer is saying i havnt had the satnav softwear install on my xc60 from the factory and to install it is going to cost £700

So yours isn't a Nav model?

That sounds like an unbelievable bargain! Hopefully there's not been a misunderstanding and it's the update for sat nav user updates they're doing?

The update has completed. The satnav still don't work. So my next thing is the maps help on the CD drive or dose it have a different box. You can buy a CD drive from Ebay for about £100 or so. But starting wondering weather it's worth it.
