In need of a replacement head for my 940 lpt

I've got a 940 head that's surplus to requirements; I'm fairly sure it's a 530 but would have to check.

I might be able to deliver it to Huddersfield early next month if Clive Brook Volvo are having another open day for classic Volvos.

Apologies for the delay in responding. I'm not a forum frequenter and always think I'll get an email or something if anyone responds.
Did you happen to find out if the head is a 530? What sort if condition is it in? (Bare, or does it have valves, cam?) And how much would you want for it?
Where abouts are you? I may be willing to travel and pick up.

It came off my 940 LPT a couple of years ago and is complete, apart possibly from the Coolant temperature sensors, manifolds and distributor. I'll dig it out later today and check exactly what is missing.

I replaced it with a lower-mileage one after the head gasket failed so it might need skimming.

Price-wise I don't know what they're worth.

I'm over in Northwich if you're desperate to get one in a hurry.

I have extracted it from the back of the garage to check over its status.

It is a 530 head and lacks only the distributor assembly and cam-box cover. Both coolant sensors are present.

Definitely interested Loki, and I think I can arrange pick up. A friend is visiting family that way and says he can be courier. Hopefully you're not offended by someone picking it up in 'the other Swede'. (Saab 900)

Nobody on here should take offence to a proper 900, they might to the Vauxhall 900 though haha.
