Pardon the stupid question but are the Northern Irish spec cars different from the GB cars?

That, and I believe mainland spec SE had leather seats (mine doesn't).

I hate to be the one to point this out, but N. Ireland is part of the UK, and our cars are the same spec as Scotland, England and Wales. HOWEVER, if your car has came from Southern Ireland, it will be of European spec. I would suggest as yours doesn't have leather, it may only be an S.

I hear you about S-spec. That's what I thought initially too but everything points to SE, including the V5 (which explicitly mentions SE). Looking at http://www.parkers.co.uk/volvo/v50/estate-2004/specs/ and selecting SE it does mention both cloth and leather. Maybe it was one or the other in 2004? Anyways I think this is kind of an aside in a car of this price and age. |

Must be true as I've imported my V50 from the ROI and it's an SE with the full leather interior
