In a way yes because it doesn't give me folding function when pressing L+R (if I understood correctly). I discovered that the best option is to get CEM read and change car's configuration. Atm I am in process of finding a person that can read it (I have person that can edit the "registry".. I just need to send it to him).

Still didn't activate folding mirrors.. just a little update. I went to volvo dealership and they didn't have the offer of a software to active the folding mirrors. So, "hacking" CEM is the only solution I guess. I am kind of delaying that because I am looking into installing front parking sensors so would like to activate both if I do install them.

Just a quick one, I've got a 2006 V50 that has electric folding mirrors.
Is it possible to have them fold automatically when the car is locked and unfold when unlocked? Is this an option that can be set using VIDA?
Many thanks
George

Default C70 Auto-fold mirror Retro-fit

So as the title states, that is exactly what i am in the process of doing. So the story starts with my car which is a 2006 D5 i brought last year and love it, anyways it is a D5 SE model not SE Lux which may have included the auto-fold mirror with puddle lights. So I found a guy on FB marketplace basically breaking the exact car as mine except his was a T5 Lux so i brought the mirrors from him with the DDM and fitted them to my car, and I did kinda hope it would all just work after plugging it all in, but alas no. So this is as far as i have got. Thats why when i saw this post straight away I rear every entry, So my understanding after reading everything is that what I want can be achieved with VDash which is music to my ears, so my only question is how does VDash work and what are the costs involved? TIA for any advice given, much apprieciated Nahidul Miah and Regards!

Basically you have to read the PIN from CEM, give it to vdash and pay for every item you want to change with no warranty or support. Some vdash prices are more than dealer, let's say add heated seats it's 99EUR when soft at volvo is 25 plus labour. They changed the business model, more directed at garages than DIY users, some options only with pro plan which is 450 eur a year

I guess my "garage guy" did it through d5t5.com. Problem is only when you go to official volvo dealer and update software, it will reset to factory setting so you will need to activate everything again (it's free).
