Default New DPF time ( 09 1.6 D)

Hi folks, l have had a look round trying to find some instructions on fitting a new DPF., no joy. Does anyone have a link? Also will the ECU detect the fact that it has a new DPF, and hence come out of limp mode or do I need to do any software work, in which case will I need Vida?
Many thanks.

i believe that the ecm needs to be told that a new dpf has been fitted and any existing codes deleted with vida or some other capable diagnostic equipment. as i have said before join some local Volvo groups lots of group members have vida and most are more than willing to help others
