Default BMW X6 rental...missing my XC60!

Got an upgrade deal from Sixt at Malaga airport to a BMW X6 3.0d drive, at first I thought wow this looks the business, but after my wife & I banged our heads on the windscreen pillars entering due to low rake roof entry point I began to see some shortfalls...getting in & out is not easy.

Then on a spin down to Gibraltar it felt very "wishy washy" on the steering, hard to hold your line...also got alot of unwanted attention in the car park, too much for my liking, worried if it was going to be there on our return ;(

Also acceleration did not feel as "kick in the back" as my polestar D5.
Very nice looking car, but looking forwards to getting back into my Volvo...never thought I would say that after a week with a BMW X6

Never understood why one would choose an X6 over an X5. Will check out the hire company though as we usually use Malagacar

The X6 looks like a BMW hatchback that someone's inflated with a bike pump.

But there is something about it, I will admit... In spite of it's inflated appearance it does still look decent.

Being 6'4'' though I'd definitely have an issue with the low roof angles mentioned. That makes me feel better.

I am 6'3" and it was a problem getting in and out for sure...although leg room for the driver is great once your in position, it went on forever, far better than my XC60 legroom.
It was a brand spanker with only 20KM on the clock, so I got that new car experience again
Lovely shaped machine the BMW X6, but just a tad too pretentious for my liking, I like the fact that my new shape XC attracts the odd glance, but not makes me look like I am worth a blingy fortune! (which I am not)
I think that choosing a Volvo has a lot to do with wanting quality but not wanting to stand out too much like our fellow beemer drivers tend to

Just noticed that BMW have released the X4 (X3 with X6 styling...wonder what an XC60 would look like with it's back curved out in a similar way to the X4...

Personally, I can't really see the point of the X6 when the X5 covers everything..... + I find it to be really fugly!

The new X5 is only now starting to look ok.

But IMO nothing beats the styling of the current XC60....well, maybe the new XC90 will take the first place judging from the teaser pics that Volvo have released!
