XC60 DAB radio question

Hi all,

This is the first time I've had a DAB radio in my car, I thought one of the functions / selling points of DAB was that when listening to a station they could scroll the display to show you the name of the artist and song that is currently playing, however my DAB in the XC60 doesn't seem to do this, it just shows the station name.

Did I imagine this or is it a setting somewhere that I need to change?

Also when listening to music from my iPhone via USB the artist and song titles cut off if over a certain length. in other cars I've driven these also scroll to show all the text, is this a setting in the XC60 as well or do you just have to live with longer text being truncated?

Oh, and it's a 2009 model, if that helps.

With regard to teh second if the name is too long to appear on the screen the title should show a # at the end of it - press the # key (bottom right on keypad) and you should see the entire title.

The first is not as simple It initially depends on whether the station is transmitting that information and then whether you have set it up to display. From memory there are 3 options that can scroll through one of which will show the info you want

I don't think I have sensus, my XC60 is from 2009.

My mistake, and therefore my apologies - I didn't notice the year.

Scrolling of artist name and track name from the radio doesn't work on the podded version that you have, at least it didn't on mine and according to Volvo that was for safety as it was a distraction. For some reason it worked on the entire range of Volvo at that time and was only a distraction and therefore disabled on the XC60 - work that one out!

However I seem to recall that the iPhone track name scrolled - but that could be age related memory failure
