Default 760 GLE Time again:-)

Can anyone explain the difference between the early V6's and the later ones, other than the wiring loom change over:-)

I mean is there any difference in horsepower, economy etc? my reason for asking this is that I notice the early ones have Twin plenium chambers where as the later ones don't. i'm just curious on the differences...

One other problem that occured today on the "Beast" .. the fuel guage Died on me i.e read empty for a few seconds then started to climb back to full again! when it arrived at the other side of the guage it didn't stop, it went straight on past the full before settling and coming back to the fuel marking. Dunno what it was all about but seems to function normally ....AT PRESENT :-)

Any thoughts???

Regards
Dave M

Fuel gauge could well be due to a loose connection somewhere between the tank and the gauge.

IIRC the earlier PRVs (B28) had rather small oil feeds to the camshaft area which meant that they were more prone to camshaft failure. The later PRVs (B280) had better sized oil passageways and did not tend to suffer with camshaft lubrication problems.

All the best, Peter.
