Since last time when I was doing pictures of new maps, I've not been at home yet. Will be back in 5-7 days probably, then will try to investigate it and will let you know the outcome.

OK, I'm back and spent a bit of time this afternoon in my Volvo playing with the sat nav. It looks like I have an issue with the RTI unit itself, as it doesn't store locations any more, doesn't matter what kind of discs I'm using. It stores locations until I switch off ignition and close the car for longer than 10 minutes, then all disappear. Will have to investigate in with VIDA this weekend.

On the disc's envelope you'll find a warning message to not install new disc before contacting a seller. Probably this is only to make him sure you received a disc, because he replies with a short message only: Please find the attached file. In the ImportantInstruction.doc file you'll find instruction: Please make sure that is your engine is running when you insert our disc first time. If you didn't run the engine during update your battery can be flat and you can damage your navigation unit.‎
