55 Plate V50 2.0D SE Sport
Registered November 2005
Just rolled over to 148000 miles Metallic Black paint (Good condition) Black leather interior (excellent condition) FSH with recent Cambelt change and replacement Turbo (May 2016) Front and passenger heated seats (both fully working) Drivers seat fully electric with memory settings (fully working) Electric windows all around (fully working) Dual Zone Climate control (fully working) Cruise Control (fully working) Auto Wipers (fully working) 6CD changer in dash (fully working) Good road legal tyres all round MOT expires 15th Nov 2016 Lots of money spent on this car recently: 18” Alloys fully refurbished with replacement wheel nuts and wheel locking nuts (in Black) no marks, mint condition in Anthracite Grey New car mats front and rear Rubber boot liner Parrot MKi9200 handsfree kit with Fibre optic stereo interface (£300 worth) New Front Grille in Black finish The car recently developed an issue with exhaust smoke, which has cost a lot of time and money to try and rectify. In the process of fault finding, the car has received the following: Multiple fault scans at Volvo specialists New MAF Sensor New Air Intake sensor New Fuel pressure regulator New Fuel pressure monitor Intercooler removal and clean up Throttle body and hoses removed and cleaned EGR blocked off Inlet manifold removed, cleaned and new seals fitted Injectors removed, cleaned and tested by specialist None of the above fixed the issue, but the fault has recently been identified as a split hose causing air to escape. I'm not feeling the love for this car anymore, so I have knocked down the price to reflect this issue. An important point to note is that this car has had the DPF removed. As the previous owner had missed the DPF intervals with services, it had become blocked and been the cause of the previous turbo failing. To prevent future Turbo issues, the DPF has now been removed and mapped out so the ECU no longer tries to regenerate. At the time of removal, I opted for an economy remap rather than power. Also for some reason, the outside air temp on the dash can sometimes read -15c on a hot summer day, but it eventually climbs back up to the right temp on it’s own accord. A small issue I haven't been worried about enough to rectify. Overall, this car is in very good condition for it’s age. There are very few marks on the paintwork and mechanically it drives very well. This car was bought as a short term stop gap while I saved money for a new car, which I am about to order in the next few weeks. I am not desperate to sell this car so I won’t be accepting silly offers or swaps. If you are looking for a car with service history and lots of replacement parts for a good price, this car could be for you. Auto trader advise a listing price of £2190. I'm asking £1800 to take into consideration the split hose that needs sorting, but also to reflect the amount of work and parts gone into this car. |

Couple of questions ;
What's the status of the service history, it's overdue by a couple of months in the book? What will be the situation on the next mot with the dpf missing? Which hose is split?

DPF is gutted and welded up, so it appears to be in place as far as an MOT is concerned (sorry, I could have worded that better in my first post). I am not 100% sure which hose is split yet, I am waiting for a friend to put it on the ramp for me and inspect it. I'm guessing that is the hose coming off the turbo towards the air intake, but that is a guess. |

A quick update:
The car sale is currently on hold as I have ordered a new car, but delivery is Feb 2017 so I need a car up until Jan. if anyone would like to buy the car later in the year or early next year, please check back here nearer the time and let me know. |

In all seriousness I may be tempted around Jan time to replace the 206 as my wife's car, only thing is I'll miss the power in my pepper grinder engined DRIVe and the point of buying that would be defeated! Would keep the miles off it though and keep its value up...
Keep us posted, I am always happy to add another Volvo to the fold once we've sorted out this house purchase Also do you have the original grill? I don't wish to be rude but the one on the car is hideous

I have actually just listed the car for sale this morning as I have crunched some numbers and decided that for the time being, I am no worse off hiring a car when I need one. |

Haha no worries, I don't like the waterfall grill either, the egg crate from the S40 is much nicer. Sadly if you're still selling I'm not ready as funds don't allow so good luck with it!! If it happens to still be around in Jan, I'll be ready. I'm not actively looking to replace the 206 tbh just hard to say no when there's a car like this for sale with all its had done and the spec etc..
