Default Unsolved "aux" puzzle on my c70 II 2010

Hi, I recently bought 2010 c70 II and I wanted to add a bluetooth dongle like this one https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/4000730886069.html

The problem is that when I press "mode" button it switches to "cd". To my surprise it will not go into "aux" mode I saw in one video that it should be possible to toggle between aux and cd by pressing mode button. The car is equipped with jack 3.5mm input and usb input in the arm rest compartment. Also the car came with the RTI navigation but it was removed (previous owner said it was broken). Also the car has "high performance sound" - at least that's what is displayed when launching the audio.

It is all fishy to me. Why does my car have jack and usb in but no aux option to use them? Why the waterfall has "mode" button instead of "cd" if only cd is available and no aux? Something is not adding up. Plz help me figure out what is going on here. The radio model is 1CD18U.

it seems someone has messed around with the system , put in different units perhaps, It would be an idea to check with volvo what equipment it had when it left the factory.

Thanks for the answer. Spent more time investigating and I found a sticker on one sides if the radio with a name of a supplier of used volvo parts meaning the radio was replaced for some reason. The one currently installed does not support AUX, so even though the cables, jack port and usb connector are installed in the car, they will not work if radio don't support aux.

I believe it is just a matter of finding a used radio that supports aux. Unfortunately local dealer says he has no idea how to identify one. Any ideas?

look for someone who is breaking a late model car with the premium sound system head units are not sought after very often so your chances of finding one should be good

Wouldn't something like this give you what you want for a cheap, fuss-free solution?
