2005 S40 Battery Removal - Tray??
Hi,
the problem i have is i'm trying to run a wire from the engine bay into the cabin. Best place i can see is behind glovebox. I removed the battery, but i'm unable to remove the tray, there seems to be a odd device connected to the tray at the bottom? it has a plastic clip ontop of it but i cannot seem to remove this device to remove the plastic tray completely. What is this little thing? How do you remove it from the tray. Looks like it could twist, or push out but it refuses to budge.

Also disconnecting the battery has caused a airbag failure, it don't seem to go away.

Are you trying to run a 12V power cable from the battery into the cabin? Or is it some sort of other cable that just requires removing the battery?
I've removed the battery from my S40 without any air bag warning lights, is it possible you've knocked some of the connectors behind the glovebox whilst trying to find a suitable access point? |

I only removed the carpet from under the glovebox, so no cables disturbed there. I will check the engine bay again, maybe i disturbed something.
I am trying to run a power cable yes for my clifford module, need a perm 12v live. Ignition switched live can be taken from ciggy lighter. I am also need to run the cable that goes to the alarm unit that sits in the engine bay.
