Unhappy Interior door trim removal

In an effort to perform an alteration to the door pins I have lost a door pin inside the door. Not my best start to the day.

Can anyone enlighten me as to how you release the lower part of the door skin to get the door pin out? I don't really want to pay a garage to remove a bit of plastic and don't want to damage the door by trial and error. If someone has access to VADIS the relevant document would be brilliant.

Thanks in advance.

I should have clarified, it's the rear passenger side door. Any help appreciated.

Look at this thread from another Volvo forum. It is quite useful (at least for the rear doors).

That's exactly the thread I used. Can't go far wrong with it as it worked for me.
