The single CD player will not play MP3 CD's on any model year .

The 6 CD player will play MP3 CD's on the later model years with the two upper spec systems with amplifier in the boot.

The single CD player can be upgraded to 6 CD player which will play MP3 on later models ONLY if you have the middle and upper audio systems with the amplifier in the boot , NOT the basic audio system with amplifier in the IAM ( CD player ) Not that expensive either

Hope that helps a bit !

They will come in handy i am sure , but the premium you can't upgrade . the high performance and dynaudio come with single CD too so you have to upgrade or specify before you order . Have you got the MP3 player 3.5 mm jack socket fitted ?

As long as you write the discs as CD format, and not MP3 both R and RW CD's should be fine. I use them all the time (although it does have the High Performance stereo - not idea if that makes a difference).
