Mounting plate still has radio attached. I can do this for you. £15 delivered for the plate because it'll make the radio harder to sell without it
Rear valance. Not a chance it'll roll up. It's hard plastic.
Seatbelt - Yep can do that. £15 Delivered
Blanking plates - £80p each
Yes please ta muchly. My name on it all please, including that valance while we discuss as below.

OK, not the visor clips. Have you got any estate clips, later model?

All those Switch Alley blanking plates please.

Re the mounting plate. I've never fitted or removed a radio from a 240. I'm puzzled how the radio/player grips the console. Do I receive everything you remove from that car that I might possibly need to physically put a radio/player in to the lower position of my car? Plus I get a radio attached to the mounting plate?

Rear valance. The one I removed from my SE rolled up easily. Are you certain so that you are sure that the car you are breaking has a non-rolling rear valance?

What condition is that seatbelt please? Give it a serious looking at for me please. Is it e.g. Frayed at all? And. Whose life would you trust or not trust to it? EDIT: And do I receive the entire assembly including stalk &c.? And all the mounting bolts/washers/nuts/fixings for the entire assembly??

.

Thanks - Stephen

Thought id PM you as its easier!

Get sunvisor clips from the dealer. They aren't expensive new.

Switch blanks are yours.

I investigated the radio last night. Its basically just a big metal plate with a pioneer radio in it. To be honest you'd be better off making a plate up and just screwing it to the metal frame and mounting your radio in that (as this one does) so unless you want the whole radio, I dont think its worth you buying this one to be brutally honest. Youll make something cheaper.

Rear valance. Its a bit hard plastic thing. I cant see how itll roll up without getting damaged!?

Seatbelts are fine. The car has been off the road since 1996 so the belt was only 10 years old when the car was removed from service. Gosh you dont want much do you? haha. The stalks I need for mine (my belt warning keeps going off so im keeping them) but youll get the belt and all the bolts etc.

Hows that for you sir?

Ant

Well now. So I'm getting:

The radio with the mounting plate and all the mounting gubbings please.

And the seat belt without the stalk but with all the belt gubbings please.

And all the Switch Alley blanks. You know that I am addicted to those.

I do not understand the valance. The one I took orf of my SE Estate rolled up as I was removing it. Proper rocked and rolled it did guvner. Did Volvo use two completely different types of plastic for rear valances? Or....perhaps the one you have on that car will roll....

P.S. I hadn't thought of asking a dealer for visor clips.

Regards - Stephen

I think you've already settled it, Antz, I wanted sun-visor clips and radio panel. From what you've said I should think my existing radio panel, upper position, and probably home-made anyway, could be adapted for the lower position.

Really for Stephen and Angie's benefit, Brookhouse stock new sunvisor clips (I bought some and fitted this summer (and bought some spares just in case as you do...)

He does but postage is extortionate and you can get them from your local main dealer cheaper.

Brookhouse can be useful. Especially if they have the item and the dealer can't get it. Or if Volvo have the item in classic parts division in Sweden and if it is needed by me in the UK NOW please.

It is often the way that the item is cheaper by price or p&p or both from a dealer such as FRF Volvo. And a good dealer is very helpful and very worth supporting in my opinion.
