V50 2.0d vibrations and vague clutch
Hello all,
My final of a trio of posts. Gear stick vibrates in neutral and lots of vibration in the cabin. Clutch vague on bite so hard to pull away smoothly. Lower torque mount? Cheers. |

Possible dual mass flywheel.

could be the torque mount or one of the two upper engine mounts. The driver side mount has hydraulic fluid in it which can leak and result in vibrations.
Check all the engine/gearbox mounts. If that's not the problem it could well be the dual mass fly wheel. |

Thanks for the replies.
I’ll try to check the mounts. What are the other symptoms of the DMf? In neutral if I raise clutch up and down the sound changes only slightly - not very noticeable and no lore than I would expect. No clattering. I don’t drive at low revs - tend to keep in third until 30 and don’t labour the engine. 115k on original clutch though. Cheers. |
