Default Leak off connectors do not fit

Hi all. I hope someone can help? I'm at the point of absolute frustration!

I just acquired a V50 with a leaking issue - upon getting it home it became evident that the source of the problem was a worn/perished leak-off line. Great! Cheap and quick to sort, so the posts on here and online videos suggested.

It hasn't been as easy as I hoped.

I have ordered and tried a range (about 3 full sets) of leak off connectors as per the standard specification (Siemens VDO) from various suppliers for this vehicle (both plastic and alloy). Whatever I try does not fit.

The replacement clips match the injectors I have, which suggests they are compatible, but every single connector seems too long for the injector leak-off port and will not seat in far enough for the clip to grasp it.

Has anyone else ever had this issue, or does anyone know of any aftermarket injectors that have a different specification on the leak-off port? I suspect they may have been changed at some point.

I thought I was getting a handy workhorse on the cheap. Now I can't drive the car anywhere else until I sort this and I think it's starting to annoy my neighbours!

Thanks in advance for your feedback.
