Rear window won't stay on top position
Hi All!
Patient is a 2004 v50 2.4 Petrol. When hitting the "up" button for the rear-left window, the window goes all the way up, then backs down around 5 cm. If I hold the "up" button and wait until the window scrolls up, then it's stays that way. I tried rolling up the window with the key-fob instead, same result. Scrolls up, than backs down immediately. Already tried: holding the button for a very long time after scrolling up, disconnecting battery. Neither of them had any affect. Where should i look for? Thanks |

I may be wrong but I think from memory there is a calibration setting for the windows within VIDA.
You may just need to run through this again so the car 'relearns' where the 'stop' point is.

On other cars you can sometimes push and hold the button down whilst all the windows drop and hold the button for a further 5-10 seconds, then do the same but in reverse for closing. Could be worth a try.

I changed my battery once and the windows wouldn't do the 'auto' roll up/down afterwards. I held the button on the manual 'up' setting until the window closed and kept it pressed for a further 3 seconds maybe...the window did a little shuffle and that was that, it had now 'learned' where the closed position was.

Thanks,
I'll try the manual setting. I only held the button on the full-auto setting, might worth a try on the manual. |
