Default Error message after removing CR2 tuning box

First post on here guys so go easy on me!

I fitted a CR2 plug and play tuning box yesterday to my 55 plate S40 2.0D.

After adjusting the settings I think I've had it on full power mode today which meant it went really well, but on a very light throttle I was experiencing a slight judder through the car. I disconnected the unit when I got home to try and fine tune this niggle out of the system (something I was told could be done by the supplier). I started the car without refitting the unit and a message on the dash displayed 'Engine System Service Required'.

The car ran ok and so I think the ECU detected a change rather than a problem and so threw up the message.

Does anybody have any idea how I would go about cancelling this message without taking the car to the dealer to be reset?

I've read in the archive people suggesting disconnecting the battery for an hour or so to clear messages. Would this help?

Cheers

You could try the battery disconnect but I think you will need a dealer visit to cancel the code after investigation as to the cause.

Default S40 (New) Engine 2.0D : - Error message after removing CR2 t

Hey Hunt7304, did you have any luck sorting the error message out?

Quick question how is the CR2 module/system running. has it been worth it??

I have a V50 2.0D and am considering such a tuning module.

Cheers....
