Default Oil colour after oil change

Yesterday I had a 25000 mile service on my 06 plate 2.0D. Today I've checked the oil and it's jet black already. I phoned the dealer who did the service and they assure me that the oil change was done, and that its quite "normal" for new oil to go really black after the first few miles of an oil change in diesel engines.

My wife's car, a 2.0D Seat Leon has "normal" looking oil.

Is this true or am I potentially being spun a yarn?

Thanks,
Paul

I cant comment on the Seat Leon however i have done literally 100s of oil changes on the 2.0D engine and the oil goes black instantly after it is changed.
