jason do you think that the trim would fit my 54reg s40

the rear bumper spoiler is the same for V50 and S40 of the same model.
Is your S40 the same as in the picture in terms of model (ie same as V50) ?

they just clip on and all you'll need to do get it painted to your colour.
I did have a new one last year but I sold it for next to nothing as I went for a facelift in the end.

I think the only thing to be aware of is the exhaust cut-outs.
When you get in touch with the seller, check if there are any cutouts and see what you have on yours.

mine needs 2 cut outs for the exhausts but im sure that can be done somehow

mine does look the same so was it the 2008 they did the facelift on

if i got that it would just top mine off

that's right, 2008 was the year of the face-lift.
What normally happens with the pre-facelift spoilers...."normally"
there are cut-out marks on the back for the exhausts, you can just take a strong knife or dremel and carefully make the cut-away yourself.
If you're painting anyway, it's no big deal but if you're not painting, getting the perfect cut without damaging the paint would be an art!!

the spoiler in question comes from a Diesel not a T5, I looked at a few generic pics of the Diesel and did not see any cut-outs for the exhaust.
You will most likely have to do both!

i think i might have to find a guide line and mark up a new one then sand it back and respray

there are lines on the normal lower valances for where the cut out is so you could diy it.

I do like a bit of diy just don't think I'll go to massive extremes the halo were pretty good for me and they wernt messed up either lol
