Default Two parts

I solved the height problem by using just the seat itself with separate brackets front and rear. The seat runners sit directly on the car's crossbeam (with the rubber sheet mentioned previously). It's spot on now. I'm 5'11" and before the mod. my head was touching the roof and the wheel obscured the speedo!

Default Rear?

Back seats look great. Mine had black vinyl rear which don't look out of place with the GLT fronts but may use the leather ones later. Does it take much fiddling to fit them?

Cheers, I used the mountings from the old rear bench, I measured up and fitted the hooks on the bottom section of the original seats onto the 240 ones,
and the same with the two mountings on the back section, quite pleased with it, as it cost bugger all and the car is definitely a budget project!

sorry to drag this one back from the dead. im looking at fitting alfa 156 seats to my 164 and wondering if its possibly to cut out the cross member and bolt the rails to the floor using some adaptor brackets/welding.

If its not integral to the cars structure that would be an easy way to get the height clearance. (im 6"4')

Also looking at making 156 rears fit in the sedan which i hope will be easier than fitting them in a wagon as John has done

the seats are sort of in the car, loose to check how they look/fit...

however have any of you clever people ever fitted 240 front seats to a 140, and if so what technique did you use?
thinking of trying to use the 140 seat mounts fitted to the bottom of the new seats? or some sort of custom type mounts, so any idea's or previous experience very much welcome!
Cheers

You might well be able to fit 240 seats into a late 1974 model 140 , they share just about everything except the front end

i have considered it however, unfortunately the 240 seats do not meet my needs unfortunately as they lack the bolstering i want plus the look of the alfa seats matches the door cards.
