Default 144 Clock

Anyone have a 144 clock for my 1974 144 D/L in good working order?

Most unlikely, sadly the clock was usually the first thing to stop working in early 70's Volvos!

I have a 73 1800ES which surprisingly still has a working clock but I dread it every time I have to disconnect the battery in case it never wakes up again.

very rare and expensive now , but they used a standard Jaeger mechanism which you could use from the smaller version of this clock , also other manufacturers from the era used the same mechanism . Failing that get it repaired ...

Not entirely true Clan I have one which has a VDO mechanism made in germany

But they are quite easy to fix, there is one on ebay for £10 but thats a round one from an earlier model the later ones are just as easy to fix and cheap as nobody can be arsed to fix them so they are cheap if you find a non working one

I must have been thinking of the P1800 , VDO mechanisms are plentiful too of the same era . Good job you can fix it .
