Update information

I have been given a due date of 11th Oct (+/- 7 days). I have 3 questions regarding the date:

1. Are delivery dates usually accurate?
2. Is the +/- 7 days usually accurate?
3. Is it normal practice to get an update phone call a few weeks before the due date, just to keep us customers up-to-date regarding progress.

I took delivery last week and that matched the delivery date I was given back in June.

That's sweet music to my ears! I've been driving my father-in-law's 13 yo 2.8L short wheelbase showgun for 6 weeks, and it's driving me insane. I'm not sure I could handle a 'significant' delay. I haven't had a call from the dealer with an update, which makes me nervous.

Not sure they get much of an update until it is ready to ship, first call I got was when it was on the dock waiting to be loaded. That was a week or so before as far as I can remember.

they told me something similar and it was accurate. i think i picked it up about 3 days early.
