Default Heated Seats....

Hi All.... Working through all the little niggles on my new T5... So far you guys have come up trumps on everything!!!!

So here is my next challange... lol

Drivers heated seat seems to work fine, but the passenger side does not... Any ideas where to start my troubleshooting ??

Its a 1996 850 T5 estate by the way....

Check for any loose wiring under the seat.

Ok... That where it will all begin... lol.... Although I could not see anything obvious under there....

My pleasure. Have done the same on my 780 and also can not see any loose wires. Every one I have mentioned this to reckons the pads are finished. So no heated seats for me....

Both my cars had this problem and it was a broken wire under the seat

Okey Kokey... Have the day off tomorrow, so will get looking properly.... If no broken wires then where would you suggest to go next?

Under the seat sould be a red wire and red/white wire as post says before check to see if they have been kicked off if they have not then it mite be the thermostat just poke your fingers up in where the wiers go and pull out the white disk and check on a multi meter if thats ok it mite be the eliment int the seat

Check with Volvo as there was a recall on the front seats,
