Default CD Slot Mount for phone/satnav in V50

Anyone tried one of these in a V50?
Looks like a good idea, but not sure if it would obscure the main display.

Have a look on ebay, those holders start from about £3. I don't think the grip on that one is going to hold a phone very well. In my experience, a holder without 3 points of contact will drop the phone on every pot hole.

Perhaps this would be better? These 3 point cradles are available to fit most common phones (or measure your uncommon phone) on ebay for pennies. The cradles just clip into the back mount so you get a cradle for your phone (or one of a similar size). They hold a phone very well indeed.

Does not look a good idea to me pushing an object into a CD slot which is not a CD.

I have one of these in my v50, it’s definitely strong enough to hold phone, stays where you put it, I have the phone sideways and it doesn’t get in the way of the screen, all though I only use it for rear camera to make sure the trailer hasn’t run off a different way to where I’m going, if you find it’s in the way put phone on the left stalk of the 3, worth the extra pennies, they do two sizes of brackets and a sucker pad for the sat nav as well..... and you can still play the cd with it in place.
