Question Aftermarket original look

Hello guys I recently bought a '04 volvo v70 and its fully equipped exactly like i wanted. The thing is I would like to add a bit of power when it comes to music and also the ability to connect my phone via bluetooth. While i found a lot of aftermarkey nav units i would like to know if there is a possibility to add these features while not changing the original look of the dash. Basically i woud like to fit an aftermarket retractable nav unit that comes out of the dash like the original one does. Any suggestions? Anyone did this? Many thanks

I can't recommend the Grom unit highly enough. Works superbly

I also have the GROM.
I do like it and I have the DAB radio add on for it which sounds great.
It is however a little bit like a prototype rather than a finished product.
If I was buying again I think I'd be tempted by this https://www.volvotech.eu/imiv-le-plu...-path%5B107%5D

Grom's great when it works but I keep having problems with mine, needs re-booting and pairing way too often for me.

I got my Grom at the start of the year and I’ve had not a second’s trouble with it at all.... I didn’t go for the DAB option but the BT adapter did everything I needed.

Yes I've had a GROM for a few years. Initially it required a clunky reconnect every time I got in the car so I would only bother for longer journeys.

I did a firmware update at the beginning of this year and since then it has been faultless and a pleasure to use. Connects automatically without fail and just carries on playing music where it left off.

I started off on a project to fit a retractable sat nav. I got as far as getting hold of an old OEM screen complete with mechanism and stripping this out to fit a sat nav unit.
Had I persevered I think it would have worked however I discovered the Pioneer Avic Series which is radio, CD, SD, Bluetooth, sat nav, video, reversing camera, traffic and other goodies all in one double DIN box. Volvo even make a double DIN facia to fit it in.
The raising screen project was moth-balled in favour of the all-in-one solution.
