Cheers Dave
Didn't notice that the spell checker had changed Ron's name
I'll go over to Cowdenbeath when I come back from holiday

Sorry Rab + Mark, no, I've not used him.

Although I'm from Aberdeen originally, I've been South for a long time.

Just trying to help to find the right guy.

Cheers

Hi
Went to see Ron the other day about transmission oil change
He said he didn't do oil changes on cars with that amount of miles and recommended a power flush (no record of transmission oil ever being changed ) and pointed me in the direction of another garage that could do it , if there was any trouble with them not being able to do the change then he said just give him a phone and he knew some other guys who maybe able to help
He said other than the above he pretty much did everything else Haldex service/repair etc , services etc
Seems like a nice guy who seem'd to be willing to help me out when he couldn't do the work himself so all in all got good vibes about getting my car serviced/ repaired with him
Plan to get him to service / oil change on the Haldex in the next couple of months when i get the funds
Only my opinion but hope it helps someone

I wouldn’t advise a power flush on a high mileage vehicle. Drain and fill is your better option.

yeah , heard of problems after a power flush and I'm a bit wary of getting that done
Have seen videos of the"Gibbons" method using the cars pump to change the transmission oil this looks OK and maybe the way i go

I’ve heard good things about voltech in Glasgow. Bit of a trip but might be worth a phone call
