I have a 16T turbo that has only done just over 5,000mile since fitment from my Donor 850 that i've Broken for the engine. The 16T is an upgrade over the 15g that the cars came with as standard.
I was going to use this Turbo myself, but have upscaled my goals so its no longer required. According to the Service History i got with the car, the car was serviced at SW Autos at 151,404miles when the new turbo was fitted, and when i broke the car for the engine it had 156,919miles on the clock. The car drove absoutley fine, allthough there was a little smoke from the exhaust at times but this was due to the clogged PCV system. I can see why these get negleted as they look a pain to change, I would imagine that it was the same PCV system from when the car was new. Comparing the weight of the old PCV breather box to a new one is quite amazing. There is absoutley no shaft play on the turbo as you would expect from such low mileage. Looking for £200 delivered for the turbo, plus there is also a very new looking oil drain pipe (most probably changed at same time), and if also wanted you can have the oil feed pipe as well. You might need to check that your downpipe is like the one pictured below as some 850's had angled not straight downpipes. I did have the downpipe until recently until i cut the cat of it and weighed it in. |

this turbo is going onto a old vw beetle to replace the td04 i used before from an impreza as my new exhaust has the t3 square flange. out of interest, i have seen the t16 model before, but i dont know what the diaphram is for on the side? thanks |

Thats the integral recirculating blow off valve.
If you want to run a atmostpheric dump valve you simple remove the recirc one and fit a blanking plate. |

EDIT Chesh beat me to it, and it looks like I got it wrong :-)
Hiya, I think the diaphram you're refering to is the wastegate actuator? I have a 15G that came off my 850 turbo after 100k miles. If you're interested, drop me a PM. Cheers, Pete
