In 1967 I was 7 years old and Dad had a Vauxhall Viva SL90 in two tone green. Our neighbour across the road had an Amazon and I always admired it. Dad fancied one but they were so expensive even used ones.

Thumbs up thanks

My best memories of car rides were in one of those. My dad bought one about 1970. Used to love the speed meter. Never seen anything like it ever since. Then my Dad sold it for a 144S. Gave my mum some bullsh!t about how good it was etc. Was it overdrive or something like that. I think it had a switch on the gearlever. I could be wrong. So he got his wish and we (brother and I) Enjoyed playing in the car rear parcel shelf at the back. Had this funky louver blinds at the rear glass too.

Best memory? urging my Dad to extend the speedmeter bar to the max. I think it hit 100mph. My best of the best memory. Thanks for posting.

cheers

Hi, I used to have a gold one in the 80's it looked exactly as the one in the top picture does and had fuel injection and overdrive, leather seats. I've not seen one for years.
