Default D-Jet bits needed

Hello, it's been a long time since I've said anything, most of it has been spent under the 144, some of it with a Bedford CF, now gone. Sometimes I wonder about my ideas....
Anyhow, these are bits I stupidly binned when I scrapped a 144 fueley thinking I'd never set it up on mine.....

Anyone got a D-Jet control box,
a wiring loom for D-Jet and the engine,
Some injectors 4?
The throttle quadrant that sits on the bulkhead

Erm, Ok, what I'm really asking has anyone scrapped/or is scrapping a 144 Fueley from around 1972!

Cheers!

Sam

I think if i had one of these now i would convert it to use the Injection components compoments from a
B200F ( 700/900/200) it would transform drivability and economy ... The most difficult part would be the flywheel sensor / trugger wheel , but you can buy these now which can be welded to the crank pulley ...

Hey, Sam, how's it going?

The guy (Martin) who converted my 144, long before I got my fingers on it, used the 360 GLT system, welding the injectors into a 140E manifold (pretty cute it looks, too!). It seemed to work O.K. with the only drawback being fuel starvation in the 4000+ rpm range due to, we reckon, no swirl pot and a relatively inefficient Facet type fuel pump. I drove it back from Sarf London at a fair trot and got 29mpg, which considering it had a knackered old set of points and condensor (not my spanking new Aldon set-up) was none too shabby.

To rectify the fuelling problem a Nissan Primera fuel pump has been welded into the original steel tank; this pumps has, so I've been led to believe, a built in swirl pot and, being relatively new in design, an adequate flow rate. I won't be able to tell you how it goes for a few more weeks yet - yes, it's still not finished, after two years!! - but when it's MOT'd and running I'll be sure to come back with a report.

I know you won't be able to use this set up for the classic rallying, but I thought I'd fill you in anyroad.

Regards, Nick H, West Wales.

I've got an ex FI '72 car that's been converted back to carb BUT the loom appears to be still pretty much in place, plenty of plugs and relays in the engine bay anyway. Not sure that anything else remains. Car is being broken and soon to depart, if of any use to you, 07831 877326, near Bath.

Hi Dudes,
Chris S and S-Man, you both have PMs!
Citizen, very good call on all counts, but so you all know, i am still doing Historic rallies so the flexibility in terms of setup is limited, so no trigger wheels, or throttle bodies for me at this point. I'm basically going to have a play with the fuel injection to see if I get a bit better flexibility to run bonkers camshafts.

The latest scheme is to do a couple of sprints with the nearby motor clubs, I know the 144 isn't really the car of choice but seeing as I own it, that's what it'll be doing.

I'll let you all know when I've got the V-performance stroker kit and supercharger, just buying the lottery tickets at the mo!

Cheers,
Sam
