Turbo actuator -can i fit a used one ?
hi
after studying the posts i cant find wether it is ok to fit a used electronic turbo actuator without any coding in etc. my turbo boosts intermittently ,so i am guessing that the actuator does not just fail ,but starts being faulty not just dying completely ,which would be easier if it did so you knew for sure that was the problem! my plan was to buy a used actuator but need to know i dont need special equipment to code it in any advice would , at this stage be greatfully received as not much hair left to pull out codes thrown out were - 1507 /1540/1517 - pointing to actuator fault please help al |

Mine didn't need coding but I didn't do second hand as that might of been on it's way out as well. I got a refurbished one. I had the exact same codes as you.

but was worried they may need coding in or something else other than just bolting on and plugging in if anyone can confirm this it would put my mind at rest ordering a new one like you say i might be buying a one as bad as the one i have -the arm on mine moves when starting engine but turbo doesnt boost many thanks for any replies they are much needed to get me back on road |
