Air Conditioning and diesel
Hello .
Was Air Conditioning as an option on the 240 series( they seemed to have it in every other market including right hand drive Australia), and what is the general opinion on the Nissan diesel conversion ( there is an Auto 240 on nearish me on ebay and am tempted). The problem is that I love the 240 but I am aware that they are very warm cars in the summer and I do feel the heat. I guess it would not be cost effective too retrofit air con from another vehicle ( are the 240 and the 260 the same ?-ok the engines are different but are they the same body etc?). thanks James |

Some 240s did have air con - most of the 260s did - bodies are identical. I have an Italian market 240 that has air-con fitted. Can be retrofitted but fairly major job. I assuminf you are asking about converting to Nissan diesel - my advice would be that conversion to lpg would be cheaper, quicker and more economical. All our 240s run lpg.
