Is this your "old" one after swapping cases?

No its not my old one, I threw that away.
I purchased two keys, this was the wrong type. I wanted one with a large loop at the bottom for my keyring to attach to. Here's a couple of pics of it. |

You can buy the swivel clip for the key from Volvo for about £4 iirc

It seems the key is already cut so that is no good to you , the remote part is also useless as it cannot be programmed to a car unless it has the code numbers which came with it when new .
If the key was uncut you could use that part , then get the key programmed into your immobiliser at the dealer .

If you don't mind it not being able to lock and unlock the doors remotely because its just a spare then its a cheap spare key ... |

Appreciate it's just a tenner, but is it a fully usable key ?
