Question 240GLT Cambelt

Please can anyone tell me if this cambelt I have will fit my 240 beloved GLT estate (1990) QTB 127 123 x 3/4. The aforementioned car is nearing its sell by date. Daily used by a self employed builder! I am thinking of upgrading any info much appreciated.

P.s Always had a volvo estate when Ford Granada's stopped.

The QTB 127 belt definitely fits the B23E engines (It is the one I use); but not 100% sure it is the same for B230E engines.
Have got access to a Quinton Hazell catalogue, but not here. If you don't get any other replies I will get to it and check for you.

I recall QH are fairly good at making their various catalogues and data sheets available on line. I'm sure if you looked on the site you'd be able to download the respective pdf files to show you both the part number and the dimensions of the timing belt you require - or is this particular one missing?

Same belt for B21/23 and B200/230

Just make sure the tooth profiles are the same. Early engines had square teeth, later ones a sine wave profile.

Many thanks for the info on the QH site. Unfortunately I couldn't find what I needed. Still worth knowing. Thanks

This was I believe only on the engines in the late 940s.

No, my 1993 240 Torslanda has sine-wave teeth.

! Quinton Hazell recommend that Camshaft belts and Balance Shaft / Inj.Pump belts should be replaced at the same time
I cannot guarantee the accuracy of this info - it's from the QH catalogue.
