Default Removing the windows on an Estate

Hello, I've done a search on this site but can't see anything on how to get the windows out of an Estate. I'm at work so the luxury of a Haynes manual isn't possible just now. If anyone has done this can you tell me what i should and shouldn't do? The reason i want the windows out is that i use the car for shifting my bands drums and amps etc so would like to "black out" the windows so no-one see's whats inside the car when it's parked up at a gig.

Cheers,

Dez

Push from the inside out while easing the rubber seal over the lip starting at a corner. If you are a contortionist you can lie down and push with your feet at the same time using your extending rubber arms to fiddle with the seal. Have someone outside to catch it if you can. Then get horrified at the way the lip has rusted away in the corner.

Wouldn't it be easier just to fit window film though or simply paint the windows or even cut some sort of board to fit and stick it to the inside of the windows?
There must be hundreds of ways to do this without removing the windows. Some of them will even not affect the resale value of the car.

I agree with the above post, although I would strongly suggest that you use tinting film rather than paint. The film will hold the glass together to some extent should anyone try to break in. Also, it will not be so obvious to the potential theves out there that there is somthing valuable in the car. Perhaps a dog guard made from a fairly fine mesh might stop them seeing anything through the windscreen.

The plan was to fit window tinting film but i was wanting to do a good job with the windows out. If it's just as easy leaving them in then i'll do that though.

cheers.
