Default Towing with XC40 plug in Hybrid

Hi, I'm considering an XC40 plug in hybrid as my new towcar for a 1500kg caravan.
Can anyone recommend these? My budget will be a bit stretched for a plug in hybrid XC60
with 4 wheel drive.
Thanks

I used to have one of these, that was a great tow car, apparently - so although the XC40 will have a higher centre of gravity, it should be good.

I now no longer tow anything. However up until last year towed with a V90 which was fine.
You will already know Volvo's maximum tow weight for the X40, but there are several websites that match vehicle to caravan weights along with how they perform. such as https://towcar.info/outfitmatch.php, and https://www.thetowcarawards.com › tow-car › volvo-xc40

There’s no reason why it won’t be as accomplished as owners find the other hybrid models; pulling away in EV mode means no strain on the transmission and using the battery alongside the engine will always give instant torque and power.

We have a 1500kg van and I’d have no concerns towing it with an XC40 Hybrid.
