Default rear folding seats.

hi all, the seats that are in the boot, does the rear load cover have to be removed b4 the seats can be put up, if so how do you remove the cover, sorry to sound thick.

Hello

Yes it does. The end caps are spring loaded, and squeeze inwards to free the cover from the sides of the loadspace.

On the V70 there is a sprung hook behind the backrest of the rear-facing seat, which pulls upwards when the backrest is vertical. The hook then fits into a groove beside a headrest in the back seat. I expect the 850 one is identical?

Glad to help - I'm not a mechanic, so am in awe of most of the people on this forum. I do, however, move a largeish family around in a Volvo a lot, so can claim some expertise on that front!
