1978 244 'Flathood' Parts
Hello,
I'm thinking of finally tackling the restoration of my 1978 244DL. It's been off the road, outside, for about 4 years and has really suffered,I didn't realise it'd caught the rust so badly until I got it running a few weeks back. So with a view to restoring it rather than letting the 'banger boys' destroy it, I am seeking the following items(preferably rust free and at a reasonable price)-a bonnet,a slam panel, bootlid and I may even go for a set of doors if available. (I'm very willing to trade some 140 parts for the above items, and it'd clear some space for me too!) Thanks in advance. Chris. |

I may be able to help out with bonnet and slam panel. Recently started sorting out some of my early 240 bits and there was more than one bonnet and slam panel. I can't help with the boot though. I have quite a few doors about in varying usable condition - all will need at least minor attention.

I still have to sort through these - I have several sets but I expect that all will need some minor attention. It should be remembered that these had no liners and were prone to rot especially at the bottom of the wing where it bolts to the A pillar. Also these have been dry stored for many years and have small rust spots on them.

Definitely interested Mike, I don't mind a bit of minor work.

Still got any of these bits lying around, after some wings and a bonnet if anyone has some available.
Thanks Lee |
