Just got to get a wheel bearing changed now .Lets hope we get the correct side first time.

Just got feedback from Volvo,

They have refunded me £650 for the a/c compressor.

I am busy with wheel bearing. I will try to change by myself. I hope there will be no difficulties.

To give you an idea , I got charged under 2 hours labour for the main dealer to do both sides .

Which dealership did you go to?

Have a 2007 S80 with a noisy compressor, wondering if they will replace it as steering wheel does judder a bit at speed. Steering rack also needs replacement according to the local dealer here.

I had not seen this thread and they recommended I have the compressor replaced, too. They quoted me around £600 for the part so i am wondering if this known fault is covered by all dealers or not...

sorry , a bit late to see this , but Fawcetts in newbury .

All dealers will know about this, once they tap in the registration number and check for any notices from Volvo UK

The dealer didnt know about it untill I asked after seeing the advice here.
