Default v70 xc advise please

my 2001 v70 xc has a grumbling noise from the front end it gets louder the faster you go i thought it was wheel bearings as thats just what it sounds like but after replacing them the noise is still there the awd still works very well but the angle gear does have a little leak and when i checked the oil was low i was going to take the angle gear out and strip the angle gear to look at bearings etc just thought i would ask if anyone has had this noise befor she is an auto turbo petrol with 165k on the clock regards sandy

When u say tracking, do u mean just tracking, or have u had laser 4wheel alighnment?

I would go for the 4 wheel alignment and rotate your tyres. Swao front left to right back and so forth. See if that gets rid of noise. If not new tyres will
