Default XC60 Can Bus Hi/Lo System.

The problem that I had with "Limp Mode", "Failing To Start" and the "Dash, Lighting Up Like The 4th July", has been traced to the multi-pin connector, located in the Drivers side, "A" piller.

The connectors had only been locked together on one side, allowing the other side, to vibrate, slightly apart and this altered the resistance readings, on the "Can Bus Hi/Lo System".

Connectors, fully locked together and everything, now seems to be working satisfactory.
Only got the car back yesterday, so time will tell.

Photographs taken of the connectors and resistance readings and report submitted to Volvo. Hopefully, this is a an isolated case.

Correction, to the above statement.

The Workshop Foreman phoned me this evening, to ask how the car was running?
He confirmed, that there is only one locking device, on the connector/s and when, fully matted together, reduced the high resistance reading, to normal.

Test drove the XC60, three times today and everything seems to be allright.

I have now done just over 4000 miles since the Can/Bus problem was resolved and everything is operating satisfactory.

P.O.I. Recent visit to Italy. MPG = 38.7 mpg.

This was a problem on the V40 too about 10 years ago.
